We continued our tour of Miami's prominent private collections with the de la Cruz Collection Contemporary Art Space. The de la Cruzes have collected contemporary art for over 25 years and had been showing it to the public in their house. In 2009, they opened a 30,000 square foot structure to allow for rotating exhibitions in a more accessible place. This year's exhibition featured works by artists which focus on patterns and the laying bare of artistic processes. The massive exhibition space was impressive, and numerous works delighted us Art Girls.

Hundreds of candy-colored panels with scribbled faces by Rob Pruitt paired with an elegiac candy sculpture by Gonzalez-Torres that chronicles the loss of his father.
