Last night the Art Girls and friends decided to forgo all of the other food groups and focus solely on meat at Carnivore restaurant in Nairobi. We sampled all of the following: ox testicle, leg of lamb, ostrich meatball, lamb sausage, crocodile, chicken, chicken livers, turkey, pork spare ribs, leg of pork, beef sausage, and rump steak (remember, I, Karen, will eat anything on vacation). We washed down our meal with a drink called "dawa" (Swahili for "medicine") made of vodka, lime and honey. Tired and full, we retired early in anticipation of embarking on safari the next morning.
