Little Governors' Camp

Our third and final safari stop was Little Governors' Camp in Masai Mara National Reserve. In order to get there, we had to take a very small plane, a land rover and a rowboat. The camp is unfenced, so animals come and go as they please and men with guns escort us to and from our tents after the sun goes down. Our tents are situated around a marsh visited by hippos, buffalo, elephants, crocodiles, and warthogs. We are in heaven.

Our plane from Nairobi to the bush.

Mary as co-pilot.

We all barely fit in the plane!

May with our very handsome pilot.

A jeep took us from the "airport" to the camp.

Then we had to cross the Mara river.

Hanging out in the bar before our first game drive.

Our homes in the bush.

Warthogs roam freely.

An unexpected lunch guest.
