Survival of the Fittest

Every safari-goer dreams of witnessing a kill in the bush. Not 30 minutes into our first game drive at Little Governors' Camp in Masai Mara National Reserve, we saw an adolescent lioness chase, catch, kill, and consume a baby warthog. Witnessing a kill seemed like a good idea in theory, but we were not emotionally prepared for the dying sounds of the warthog and the carnage following the kill.  Fortunately, I was able to snap some good photos through my tears. Survival of the fittest, I guess.
